Ceramic Alloy Wheel Polishing
Bring Your Alloy Wheels Back to a True Mirror Finish
Some wheels deserve more than a standard refurbishment. If your alloys were originally polished, have a bare aluminium finish, or you're restoring a classic or performance car, our ceramic alloy wheel polishing service is designed to achieve an exceptional mirror-like shine.
At Dynamic Alloys, we take the time to prepare every wheel properly before polishing begins. The final result isn't just about making a wheel look shiny—it's about restoring the depth, clarity and finish that makes polished alloy wheels stand out.

What Is Ceramic Alloy Wheel Polishing?
Ceramic alloy wheel polishing is a specialist finishing process used to restore bare aluminium alloy wheels to a highly reflective, mirror-like finish. Unlike painted or powder-coated wheels, polished wheels rely on careful preparation and multiple polishing stages to achieve their appearance.
The process removes oxidation, staining and surface imperfections before progressively refining the aluminium until it develops a deep, reflective shine.
It's a popular choice for:
Classic car alloy wheels
Split rim wheels
Performance vehicles
Show cars
Prestige vehicles
Motorcycle wheels
Custom alloy wheels
If your wheels were originally manufactured with a polished finish, ceramic polishing is one of the best ways to restore their original appearance.
our process
1. Thorough Inspection
Before any work begins, we inspect each wheel for corrosion, previous repairs, cracks, buckles and kerb damage. If we spot anything that could affect safety or the finished result, we'll discuss it with you first.
2. Stripping the Existing Finish
Paint, lacquer, corrosion and contamination are removed to expose clean aluminium. Starting with a clean surface allows us to achieve a much higher-quality finish.
3. Surface Preparation
Preparation is one of the most important stages. Kerb marks, oxidation and surface imperfections are carefully reduced before polishing begins. A mirror finish will highlight defects, so the better the preparation, the better the final result.
4. Multi-Stage Ceramic Polishing
Using specialist polishing equipment and carefully selected compounds, the aluminium is gradually refined through several stages. Each pass removes finer marks until the wheel develops a deep, reflective finish.

Turnaround depends on the condition of the wheels and any repairs required. We'll provide an estimated completion time when we assess your wheels.

Minor kerb damage can often be repaired as part of the preparation process. More significant damage may require additional repair work before polishing.

Like any finish, polished aluminium requires regular maintenance. Cleaning your wheels properly and protecting them from contamination will help preserve their appearance.

In many cases, yes. Oxidation can often be removed during preparation, although severely damaged wheels may need more extensive restoration work.
-
Polished alloy wheels are finished by refining the aluminium itself. Chrome wheels have an additional plated coating applied over the surface. The appearance is similar, but the manufacturing process is completely different.
